Although originally from Key West, Boston has been my home for the major part of my career as a professional musician. Every day I step forth into this community I feel great pride in being a part of this city and our musicians. We are one family.
From 2002-2011, motivated by a desire to give back to my fellow musicians and a city that has given much meaning to my life as an artist, I began serving as an advocate for musicians' rights as Vice President of the Boston Musicians Association, Local 9-535. Today more than ever, New Englanders must be ever vigilant to protect and secure the role of LIVE MUSIC in our communities in order to ensure the arts as a driving force in our region's cultural economy.
Strong leaders are first motivated by dreams of what might be and then take incalculable risks to pursue what they believe can be achieved. That defines Boston's musical community and their leadership of our musicians' union, so please take a look at our website www.bostonmusicians.org and give LIVE MUSIC your wholehearted support.
Although retired as Vice President of the Local in January 2011, I serve the organization as AFM International Convention and Conferences Delegate.
This website is updated periodically to reflect my most recent activities as a performer, teacher and musician's advocate.
